Spreading some much needed love this Christmas
14-12-2020We are overwhelmed by the fantastic response of our Goodness-Tree Kickstarter campaign.

Louvre Sculptural System
01-12-2020A system which controls light and vision through the surface by way of the
varying angles.
Not only does the Louvred ‘skin’ create a sculptural aesthetic, the structure is foremost a mechanism for controlling the visual transparency of the building with highly innovative architectural functionality.
Download our ‘Louvre Sculptural System‘ brochure for further case studies of this system.

Our process…
16-11-2020Our studio’s characteristic aesthetic comes from the fusion of technology with the handmade. The resulting complexity of meticulously arranged components creates richness, tactility, depth and allure.
We work with a talented pool of artists and specialist makers to create all of our bespoke pieces, and it takes many maker-hours to bring each one of our unique designs to a tangible reality.

We did it!
06-11-2020We are pleased to announce that we have reached the Goodness-Tress Kickstarter campaign goal!
Thank you to everyone who help us reach our target, 100% of the profit from Goodness-Trees will be donated to the Homelessness charity Shelter.

Deptford, SE8
16-07-2020It’s good to be back after some time working remotely for the design team… there’s definitely change in the air with our working practice; more fluidity, more time working from home for the design/creative team, more flexibility with client liaison, etc. But the studio continues to be the best place for us to make things, and for the team to gather to discuss our creative trajectory, current projects, and future plans. And boy it’s good to be back.

Design for Diversity
19-06-2020DESIGN FOR DIVERSITY
THE PLEDGE
By placing the Design For Diversity sticker on our website, we undertake to uphold the following:
1/ Visibility
We pledge that our channels – our websites, blogs and social media – will at all times endeavour to include people of every colour and gender and sexuality.
2/ Opportunity
We pledge to seek out Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates to interview for roles that arise in our businesses. We will always hire the best person for the job, but we will endeavour to bring more diverse candidates through the process. We stop short of positive discrimination and we reject tokenism.
3/ Accessibility
We pledge that any events we hold – be they panel discussions or talks, dinners, receptions, or media events – will endeavour to include people of all colours and genders.

Inspiration Imagery
18-06-2020GMS is inspired largely by nature, but also by all things light/shadow. We’re going to share more inspiration images through our instagram account in future, to share not just or own work but the philosophy of our creative studio.
This shot sees nature, shadow, structure and texture beautifully captured in this still life shot by @christiancoigny.

Hospitality Portfolio
29-05-2020The spaces with which we surround ourselves can make the biggest difference to the state of our wellbeing. The hospitality sector is charged with creating spaces that invigorate and inspire us.
We believe our work complements and enriches the spaces it sits in. We work with designers and architects to find the right system, material and finish to suit project schemes, creating artworks and finishes that incorporate richness, tactility, depth and allure. We have worked on a breadth of hospitality projects globally including restaurants, bars, hotels, yachts and airports.
Download our new Hospitality Portfolio to learn more about our approach to public and social spaces.
